Do you want to visit somewhere in Boston that is only known by the locals? Check out Castle Island located in South Boston! Its not exactly an island, but its connected by a small strip of land to the mainland. There’s a small beach to catch some rays and hang out with friends. There’s also a lot of history there! Castle Island is the home of Fort Independence. You can take a tour of the fort guided by a local South Boston resident.
In the middle of the Castle Island area, there is a beach called Pleasure Bay. It is manmade. There’s a great area to walk around and relax. Just something extra to do while you’re taking English classes in Boston.
