Sunflowers are a great way to bring a little brightness into our schools. They symbolise positivity in many cultures, they’re environmentally versatile (used for biofuel, cooking oil, etc.) and the seeds taste great! So we're going to have an EC-wide Sunflower Growing Competition! š
Every centre will grow a sunflower, and we'll see who can grow the biggest plant. Today, Friday 03rd May every EC centres will have a group-wide planting day.
So what do we need to grow a sunflower?
- sunflower seeds
- soil
- a pot
- water
The winning school will be given €100 to donate to the environmental charity of their choice, and there will also be a ‘special prize’ for the most amusing sunflower photo.
What are we waiting for? Grow for it!
The competition will end on 31st July but this date may be reviewed.
So let’s get the competitive spirit going!
Our language centre in Bristol is determined to grow the biggest sunflower.
