Recently, I received an email from a former EC Montreal student who wanted to verify the address of the homestay family she stayed with while studying here. She has studied ESL in Montreal many years ago and she fondly remembers her host, Johanne. She wanted to surprise Johanne by sending her a gift!
It was a very nice gesture, especially since so much time had gone by since she studied at EC Montreal! It further shows how students taking an English or French course at EC Montreal create such a strong bond with their homestay hosts and the experience has a positive impact on their overall learning experience.
Very often students and hosts become lifelong friends!
