EC Montreal is thrilled to announce that we are launching a new programme in October 2020. It is called the Young Achievers programme. It is the ideal choice for learners ages 15 to 18 who want to add extra features to their English and or French language learning. The features will enhance their individual interests and skills, build foundations for further grown within their chosen area and post-secondary education.
Students enrolled in the Young Achievers programme should expect to learn English and or French with other equally motivated students of the same age group. EC Montreal’s skilled and trained teachers will guide them to develop the language in a productive and supportive atmosphere inside and outside the classroom. By talking with other students, they will also develop their interpersonal and conversational skills.
The programme consists of a 24 Lesson programme. Students will have 20 Lessons of instruction per week and 4 Lessons of active learning called Language on the Go activities. Throughout these activities students will be taken out of the classroom and into real world scenarios to flex their conversational skills. These activities could be a photography and video workshop at the Apple Store, a visit to the Montreal History Museum, a visit to Montreal’s City Hall and many others.
EC Montreal will use Project Based Learning for these students. The EC Montreal Young Achievers curriculum is specifically designed for students aged 15 to 18. Project-based learning is an instructional methodology that encourages students to learn and apply knowledge and skills through an engaging experience. EC’s Young Achievers programme aims to prepare students for t heir post-secondary studies and for life. Students will be introduced to themes ranging from technology, media, health care and environment to art, culture, finance and much, much more. Students will learn English and or French and have fun with other students from around the world.
EC Montreal will offer levels from Beginner to Advanced and students must be enrolled for a minimum period of 1 week. Students have the convenience of starting any Monday, starting October 5, 2020.
This programme is idea for students who want to prepare for their post-secondary studies and to those who want to experience life in a new country. Students will make friendships to last a lifetime! The experiences students will have will form a secure bond as together, they develop skills and talents to take back home and maybe even use towards future studies in college or university.
This programme will tie in very nicely to EC’s Canadian pathway programme. Our team of university pathway directors can assist our students to pursue their post-secondary education in Canada! We will help our students reach the right level of English or French and will assist them with their college applications and paperwork. This service is free for students who book our programme for 24+ weeks and comes at an extra cost of only $200 CAD for all other students.
