Welcome to the month of September! Not only is the start of the fall season, it is also a month packed with activities and excitement! It is the start of a new school year, so the city fills with university students from all over. The weather starts to get a bit cooler at night, so beach bonfires become increasingly popular. It is one of the best months for weather in San Diego as it hardly ever rains and is mostly sunny.
Some activities continuing in the month of September are the Del Mar Races, Concerts by the Bay and open air Shakespeare plays at Balboa Park. Fleet week also happens this month in celebration of San Diego’s service men and women. It concludes with an amazing air show in October! Some other items to note: starting September 15th, The Rocky Horror Picture Show will be playing at the Old Globe Theater for a limited time. And Restaurant Week is the 18th-23rd, featuring discounted prix fixe menus at over 180 of San Diego’s finest restaurants.
EC San Diego will be enjoying all that September has to offer with excursions to such things as the Fleet Week Festival and a San Diego Chargers game!
