Interested in taking a cooking course in Boston?
Lisa Tavakoli, one of EC Boston’s host mothers, lives in Quincy (off the red line train) and teaches cooking courses out of her home. The classes run for 3 hours and normally cost $90 per person. Lisa is offering EC Boston students and staff members a holiday discount on any December cooking class dates: $50 per person. The theme of December’s classes is “Italian Festive Holiday Cuisine.” Each class includes an appetizer, a holiday beverage, an entrée, one side dish, dessert, holiday teas, and the recipes used in class. Each guest also receives ½ dozen of Lisa’s special Tea House scones.
Cooking together is a great way to practice your English and use new vocabulary. Not to mention- what better way is there to end an English lesson than to eat the delicious food you just helped prepare?
