Mandela Day is an international day in honour of Nelson Mandela, celebrated on 18 July (Mandela’s birthday), which calls for individuals to take responsibility for changing the world into a better place- as Mandela did- by giving time in supporting a chosen charity or serving the local community. EC staff & students visited Barcelona Children’s Home in Gugulethu township to play with the children and also hand out gifts donated at the EC Christmas in July party
