FCE Exam Preparation students had to write a review on the best restaurants in Cape Town. The best review came from Ebb Colsoul from Angola who wrote about her experience at Mzolis:
“Mzolis restaurant is a famous place in the heart of Gugulethu. It’s a touristic place where a lot of foreigners go to eat traditional South African grilled food.
It’s an informal restaurant in a rustic place where the employees give you all kinds of grilled meat that you would like.
About the service, I can all it unusual as you choose your meat and the staff will prepare your dish, then you go to the kitchen to get your dish and eat it with your hands.
I have been there once and I really like that place, you feel at home and the food is delicious. The price is also the cheapest I could find in this country
The main reason why I like that place is because I could see many different people from different parts of the world. It’s a “new South Africa”
I would like to go there again with my friends and I’d also recommend going there as it’s an exotic and different place.”
