Montreal's Bell Center!

Sharing is caring!

Have you been to Montreal’s Bell center?  Many EC Montreal students soon discover that in Montreal, hockey is a religion!  The Montreal Bell Center is the home to our city’s hockey team called the Montreal Canadians and they are also known as the Habs!  When the Habs are not playing, this hockey arena becomes the stage for many amazing artists and spectacular shows!

The Bell Center has the seating capacity for over twenty-one thousand spectators and it is centrally located, right downtown.  You can access the Bell Center directly from the Lucien L’Allier metro station.  The street where the Bell Center is located is called Les Canadiens, named after our beloved team.

When you are an EC Montreal student, you soon discover that all the big celebrity names include Montreal on their tours.  Celebrities love coming to Montreal as it is a big and diverse city.  They also enjoy the nightlife and food scene this city has to offer!  They are also very intrigued by the French language.  Every performer that comes to Montreal will try to impress the audience by speaking some French.  They will usually welcome the crowd by saying “Bonjour Montréal”.

The biggest musical entertainers as well as the most popular comedians will perform at the Bell Center.  Last Friday, we had the pleasure of going to see a very funny comedian called Sebastian Maniscalco.  He sold out the entire arena and mentioned during his show that he first came to Montreal in 2007 as part of our Just For Laughs festival and he never would have imagined that in 2019 he would be performing to a sold out show at the Bell Center.  He put on the Habs jersey and really connected with the audience.

This week, Celine Dion, a Montreal celebrity has sold out several nights at the Bell Center.  Other big names expected to perform at the Bell Center in 2020 include Elton John, Post Mallone, Ozzy Osborne and many others!

During the holiday season, the Cirque du Soleil will be putting on an incredible show called Axel.

Between all these incredible performances, EC Montreal students can purchase tickets to a Habs game and cheer them on!  They need all the support they can get as they are not doing too well this season.

Montreal ESL School is always promoting our Canadian culture!
