While learning English, you may have noticed that different students can have very different experiences in the same classroom. Some people may learn certain things more quickly than others, and some students may be weak in areas where other students are strong. What you may not know, is that not everyone learns best in the same way. In fact, education researchers have determined that there are many different kinds of learners.
The four most common types of learners are Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic and Read-Write. Visual learners learn best by looking at charts, graphs and graphic organizers, auditory learners learn best by listening and repeating concepts in their own words, kinesthetic learners like to learn through real-life examples and by being able to physically touch and move objects, and read-write learners remember things most easily by reading lists and writing things in their own words.

Many people need a combination of different learning strategies in order to learn best. If you want to know what kind of learner you are, you can take a quiz at http://www.vark-learn.com/english/page.asp?p=questionnaire and find out even more about how you learn and the best ways for you to study English.
