Jörn from Germany just completed a quick two weeks studying at EC New York at a high intermediate level. He shared some information about himself and his EC experience.
What do you do in Germany?
I am working and studying engineering/astro physics
Why are you learning English?
Because it’s helpful in the job later and it’s the world language, so if I’m traveling around I can use it always.
Why did you decide to study at EC?
I looked for a few schools in the US and my sister told me to come to New York. I saw Broadway and the location of the school, so I decided on EC.
Why New York City?
Because it’s The Big Apple. Many people from all over the world are here and can explore a lot of things.
What did you like most about your experience?
Teachers are very good and my classmates are always helping you. They have the same problems in English too.
What do you like most about living in New York City?
You can explore every day something else. So many things to see!
What advice would you give to someone learning English?
Go to EC, and do not talk in your native language. Talk as much English as you can.

I travel a lot. Every other year I want to take a big trip. I’ve done it the last 6 years, so 3 times. Japan, Bora-Bora, and now New York.
