Best San Diego Beaches to Visit

San Diego is home to over 150 beaches, each unique in their own way. With so many beaches to choose from it can be diffcult to narrow it down to just a few when visiting.
Regardless of the duration of your stay here in San Diego, here is a list of the top five beaches to visit and why!

Sunset Cliffs:
Sunset cliffs is one of the most exclusive beaches here in San Diego.
Located in Ocean Beach, this beach is unique for its expansive ocean views, dramatic cliff formations, caves, native coastal habitat and of course for it’s breath taking sunsets.
This beach is typically popular for surfers, ocean- gazers, and folks that like to cruise down its main coastline road.
This is the kind of beach where you can bring new acquaintances and turn them into life-long friends!

Torrey Pines State Beach:
Located just 15 minutes North of of EC San Diego, Torrey Pines beach is perfect for sun bathing, hiking and sea shell collecting. If you enjoy relaxing by the beach and
hiking Torrey Pines is the ultimate beach to visit. There are multiple hiking trails to choose from, each one having a spectacular view of the beach and its wildlife.
You have your pick of steep climbs or laid back paths, and the best part is you can take a dip in the beach after a good hike!

Pacific Beach:
With its vibrant night life, Pacific beach is a trendy spot for young adults, surfers, and college students.
Surrounded by light affordable dinning, this beach is a great spot to kick back with some friends and enjoy Happy Hour.. and lets not forget about Taco Tuesday!!
If you’re looking for a morning jog or sunset walk along the beach, PB has a long boardwalk that stretches all the way down to Mission Beach. Rent a bike, put on some roller blades
or glide on your skateboard and revel in the cool vibes of Pacific Beach.

La Jolla Cove/La Jolla Shores beach:
La Jolla Cove beach is a direct 5-10 minute walk from EC San Diego. It is one of the most well-known beaches in San Diego, due to its crystal-clear blue water, comfortable swimming temperatures and abundant marine wild life.
It is infamous for its Sea Lion and Seal population making it the perfect beach to come up close and personal with these amazing creatures. It has also become a hot spot for snorkeling and Scuba diving.
Not far from La Jolla Cove is the La Jolla Shores Beach. La Jolla shores is a family friendly beach with ample parking. It’s one of the only beaches in San Diego that has fire pits, which most people like to utilize to have a small camp out near the beach.
It has various picnic areas that make it the ideal beach to have a date with friends or a lover.

Coronado State Beach:
Every year Coronado makes it to the top 10 best beaches to visit in the United States!! Known for its almost 2 miles of white sand coastline and views of the historic Hotel Del Coronado, this beach is a must see when visiting San Diego.
Round up some friends or family to appreciate all this beach has to offer. Less than a mile away from downtown Coronado, there are plenty of boutiques and restaurants to explore. If you’re lucky, you may even catch the Navy Seals doing some intense drills!
