Here is Akari Matsuoka’s testimonial. She has studied at EC for one month (since February).
Activities… They’re great! I’ve already been to NYC and Niagara, and I’m going to Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec soon/in the near future. Each trip was so much fun.
Teachers… I’m happy that Filia and Sandy are very kind. Having good teachers made studying more enjoyable.
Classes… I have always been interested in Film Studies. EC Toronto offers a Film Studies class (an elective class using movies) which I took, and it was quite enjoyable. (The teacher was a bit scary though…) My Core class was also nice, and I was able to learn a lot of English.
Office… I didn’t have any problems so I rarely went to the office, but it was helpful that I could ask them something whenever I wanted.
School… I like this lovely school and its color scheme of orange and white! And the electric blackboards used during class were interesting and convenient.
Friends… I made many friends from the beginning of the term so that I could talk with people from different countries or a friend of a friend, which was very lucky for me. If I hadn’t made friends from different countries on the first day, I might have only spent time with students from my own country. It probably would have been difficult to make friends outside of school, especially because I was only staying in Toronto for a short time.
Thank you, Akari! It seems that Akari succeeded very well at making friends. It is crucial to make friends while studying at a new school (especially on the first day) to make your experience more fun. Let’s learn English at EC Toronto and make friends!
