Federica's EC Experience

When I arrived in Vancouver I felt so lost. You’re in a new country on the other side of the world, far from home, and you don’t really know what to expect. Fortunately, this sensation lasts only until the first time you go to school. At that at that moment, it starts to feel like like an adventure. But, be prepared, it’s just the beginning of an experience full of adventures that you will have with your schoolmates. Despite initially feeling lost, after the first day you will totally feel at home. EC’s help and support became essential. I helped us to get to know each other through simple activities, and it helped everybody to stay together and become friends. Prepare yourself to make mistakes (especially speaking), do things that you thought you would never do. Most importantly, prepare to enjoy your stay, from the first day to the last. My friends were from different countries (Switzerland, Iran, France, Brazil, Japan, Corea, etc.), and we were culturally very different from each other, but staying together helped us to learn more about ourselves. We grew together, we loved or hated the same things, we laughed, we cried, and we LIVED. We visited many places around Vancouver and we also visited the US. We had experiences that we will never forget.
