San Diego

La Jolla Cove

What makes this gorgeous beach unique is that the waters surrounding it are part of the La Jolla Underwater Park, a 6,000 acre natural reserve that makes it home to amazing wildlife including sea bass, seals and barracuda. Located less than 10 minutes from EC San Diego, this beautiful beach is great for snorkeling, diving, or simply swimming.

Los Angeles

Santa Monica Beach

Stunning Santa Monica Beach is a 3.5 mile long sandy beach surrounded by awesome local cafés and restaurants and less than 15 minutes by walk from EC Los Angeles. There are many activities to do along the beach front, including exercising, bicycling, surfing, paddleboarding and rollerskating.

South Beach

The most famous beach of Miami, this gorgeous white sand beach is located only 15 minutes by walk from EC Miami, along iconic Lincoln Road. See beautiful art deco architecture along the seafront and iconic lifeguard towers on the beach all while enjoying the Miami sunshine.

Kitsilano Beach

Also known as Kits Beach, this beach has many amenities including tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground and even a salt-water pool open during summer months. Just a 20-minute bus ride from EC Vancouver, the Kitsilano neighbourhood is famous for its cool atmosphere and relaxed vibe compared to the busy downtown area.

Plage Jean-Doré

In the heart of Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau, Plage Jean-Doré is a golden sand beach easily accessible from downtown Montreal. Open during summer months, EC Montreal students can enjoy swimming in the bay of more than 15,000 square meters.

Brighton Beach

With the iconic Brighton Pier jutting out from the beach, Brighton is a favourite weekend destination for residents of the UK. This makes it a great place to meet people from all over the world, all while practising your English in this quaint beach town. Best of all, it is only a 3-minute walk from EC Brighton!

Ghadira Bay

Also known as Mellieha Bay, this is the largest beach in Malta. With crystal blue waters and golden sand, it is a favourite for families because of its shallow waters. It is divided into three sections and offers a variety of activities like windsurfing and waterskiing. It is easy to get to, with two bus lines running from EC Malta to the beach.

Cape Town

Clifton 4th Beach

The last of Clifton’s four beaches, Fourth Beach is the most popular and people come from all over the Cape Town area to picnic on the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Each beach is separated with giant boulders which help to protect the white sand from the wind. Easily reached by car in 15 minutes from EC Cape Town, get ready to plan your weekend trip to this gorgeous location!
