Meet EC Montreal's Young Learner Activity Leaders!

Sharing is caring!

Today, we welcomed our team of Young Learner Activity Leaders to EC Montreal!  They are here participating in the required fifty hours of training as per the Quebec Camp Association standards.  The intensive training includes first aid, risk mitigation, fire & evacuation, bullying, behavior, communication, social media and so much more!  Once the training is complete, we will have a team of superheros among us!  They are all so excited to work for EC Montreal this summer and are proud to be part of our team!  They have all kindly written a short bio to describe themselves.  We are happy to share them with all of you!

Nesha Dhindsa Singh

EC Montreal Young Learner Activity Leader

Hello everyone,

My name is Nesha Dhindsa Singh.  I feel honored to have the opportunity to work this summer at EC Montreal!  It is my first year as an activity leader at EC and I can’t wait to get to know the staff and students.

Everyone has been so welcoming and I know taking this step will allow me to grow as an individual.  I spent much time finding a passion that would fulfill my life and currently study at Vanier College in Special Care Counselling.  I do hope to further into social work and help to inspire people’s lives.

Being optimistic is my nature and I believe the energy you put out into the world is the energy you get back so always be sure to remain positive and try new things!

I welcome this summer journey at EC!

My goal here is to help other people come out of EC as better versions of themselves and aid them conquer not only their academic lives but also all aspects of their lives.

Jordan Larson

EC Montreal Young Learner Activity Leader

My name is Jordan and I am going to be one of the Young Learner Activity Leaders at EC Montreal.  I am a 3rd year student at McGill University, studying classical guitar and musical composition.  I came to EC Montreal because I love the city of Montreal and I was interested in showing people around.  I quickly learned about EC’s mission statement and what the job entails and as a student myself, I thought it was wonderful!

I am really looking forward to the experience, the activities Jillian and Amory have lined up are incredible!  It’s going to be a fantastic summer!

Claire Punturieri

Hi all,

My name is Claire and I am thrilled to be working as a young learner monitor with EC Montreal this summer!  I am originally from the United States near Washington D.C. but am currently living in Montreal while completing my undergraduate studies in psychology at McGill University.

I love working with people and have been very involved with the McGill community’s orientation activities this past year.  My other hobbies include being involved in research in psychology, watching movies and drinking tea.

I had a great experience in a summer immersion programme when I was younger and hope to be able to help make this year’s programme a fun and positive experience for all our students!
