Carolyn Max is a lovely young woman from Brazil participating in EC Montreal’s French Semi-Intensive Programme since January 13, 2020. She has had the experience of both our onsite and virtual lessons. This is what she had to share about her EC experience:
My name is Carolyn Max. I am from Brazil and I decided to learn a new language in a new country. I took three months off in Montreal for that. I chose the EC Montreal school and I was very happy with my choice. The school is very well located in downtown Montreal, close to everything as well as the facilities are good and everything is new!
The teachers were extremely friendly, funny and well prepared for the French classes onsite and online. They use a different dynamic that I was not used to, which I believe was very good for my learning development.
The staff was friendly as well as the supporting team. There were always outdoor activities and indoors as well to build up a community in the school so the students could build friendships and practice the language. I enjoyed my choice of studying French in Montreal. the city is very friendly and they speak French everywhere. There is a lot of French culture around and besides my experience being in winter, there are still a lot of activities and the city is alive.
The lessons being moved online during my stay did not affect my learning at all. The teachers continued to be as prepared and motivating as before.
