Hi! I am Solen from Turkey. I am a repeat student at EC Brighton as I studied here for two months last year and the course I completed was the most interesting experience. Therefore, I decided to go back to EC for 3 months more to prepare form my IELTS exam.
While I was in Brighton, with the purpose of improving my language skills I always felt like a second home. All the staff were available to anyone who needs help and friendly all the time. Moreover, friends from all over the world were amazing.
Learning about other cultures helped me to expand my horizons and develop a lifetime of international friendships.
Advantages of being an EC student were not only learning English. As a student you can have fun with a lot of EC activities such as laser tag which is one of my favourites. Also, this year I became an EC Student Ambassador who is a link between students and staff. It was great to meet new students every Monday and help them as best as I could. It gave me an opportunity to practise English and develop my social skills.
In addition, thanks to EC Brighton I have learnt about myself and gained a new perspective. This is incredibly valuable to me. If I did not have to go back to Turkey for my master’s degree, I would have definitely stayed more.
I look forward to be there again!
