It’s just about summer time, which means it’s time for one of our student’s favorite sports, soccer! For the past couple of months, EC students have been playing soccer together every week, rain or shine.
Starting this week, our EC athletes finally get the chance to put their hard work to the test. Our students are competing in the 2016 Club ESL Cup Soccer Tournament. It is Vancouver’s largest soccer tournament for international students. 16 teams from ESL schools all around the city are competing in the tournament. Games are played every Thursday at 4pm, 5pm, and 6pm and the final match will happen on August 25th.
Last week, EC played its first game in the tournament and won! Our team played hard and beat VIC 3-0. Our next game will be this Thursday, June 23rd against inlingua. Come to Andy Livingstone Park (89 Expo Blvd.) and support our team!
