EC Washington Students Dine Out!
One great thing about Washington, D.C. is the food. There are countless restaurants to choose from, and different cuisines from all over the world. One popular restaurant, located on the famous U Street, is Ben’s Chili Bowl. This dine-in restaurant was founded in 1958 and has drawn in numerous celebrities such as President Obama and George W. Bush, Prince, Bruno Mars, and many more. For Wednesday’s activity, we took students there to check out the establishment, and the rest of U Street. They absolutely loved it! Everyone got to practice ordering their food in English, and they all sat down together and had a great time. Afterward, they walked up and down the street, with one of our EC Washington ESL Center teachers as their personal tour guide. Another successful student activity that promotes learning, friendship and local culture!
