Isadora is a Brazilian student who graduated from EC this year. Here is her story:
Friends made in Canada
When I arrived in Vancouver, my first day was a little difficult, because I felt lonely. But, on Sunday before school started, the new students were invited to take a walking tour of the city with EC, and I went. In this activity, I met people from all around the world and practiced my English to make new friends and learn a lot of things. After this, I didn’t feel so lonely anymore. On the contrary, I felt like I now had friends with me all the time, and I loved it.
Advice for Brazilian students
Don’t be afraid of anything! The first day is just for adaptation, so don’t worry if you feel bad. The experience is for life and you’ll learn a lot of things, you will make a lot of friends of all around the world and you will have a lot of fun. You’ll improve your English and you’ll challenge your skills like you never before. Make sure you’re prepared for different types of food, and a new culture. And, most of importantly, enjoy every moment, because everything will become perfect memories when you leave Vancouver.
