Polite requests

I mixed up "d" and "i". It wasn't easy and made me think over it. Thank you.

Polite requests

I mixed up g and i, partly because I didn't want to say go ahead as reply to the question about smoking...
But is's a good lesson!

Rather difficult.... but I

Rather difficult.... but I did it 10/10 by using the exclusion method Wink

"No, go ahead" - Is it Yes or No?

Very interesting Lesson!!! Applause
What does it mean - NO, GO AHEAD! - about smoking???? Is it permission or prohibition of smoking?????( that's my mistake) Worried The answer must be NO and only NO!!! Wink
Thank you for the Lesson! Smile

RE: No, go ahead

Question: "Do you mind if I....?"
Answer: "No, (I don't mind) go ahead." - this means that you agree to the request. You are saying "It's ok for you to...". When you you refuse a request you say "Yes, I do mind."

So we're saying 'no' when we mean 'yes'!! Isn't English confusing!

Thanks,

Chris

Re; thanks
