Q1: why not perfect continuous?

I thought the correct form for the first question was perfect continuous: "I've been studying ballet since I was a child". Could someone clarify why present perfect is correct here and what is the difference in meaning? Thanks.

слушай, вопрос хороший... вообще с since употребляется и Present Perfect и Present Perfect Continuous... но здесь либо простое прошедшее, либо просто perfect.
