My name is AMIN.I'm from Iran.I'm 23. I study Civil Engineering at the faculty of civil engineering ,university of Tabriz and I'm interested in having relationship with an English learner to improve our language learning.

Well,I have passed 10 of 18 levels in Headway English book courses about 8 years ago. then I have been studding independently.Now I explain more...
For listening
I have listened to headway tape script up to the end of the intermediate level and now I'm master on.
I have listened to a quarter of Family Album USA which is about 2 hour movie and I've written all dialogs which have reached about 50 pages in handwriting. and I will continue to complete it.
Speaking
My speaking is good but not excellent!
Writing
Except when I was studding Headway books regularly; I have done nothing special.
Grammar
Headway books' grammar, SAMT publication English books(English for the students of civil engineering )

Also I have studied or I'm studding some English books like 504 words, 101 American idiom,136 American idiom, ...

It's nice to see your reply. Actually I want to keep a good relationship to improve the ability of speaking English. I'm from Sri Lanka one of the most eye catching islands in the world. Anyway, I'll tell you some more about me.

You didn't tell me you are a boy or a girl.I guess you are a boy. so, I'm an English teacher. I was appointed to teach in a rural area by the government. It's the system here. The newly appointed teachers should work in a rural school at least 3 years. So, we don't have a chance to use English to communicate with the students as they can't understand. We use mother tongue when giving instructions. So we have no chance to use the language. That's the problem.

This is my vacation period. These days, I'm trying hard to improve the language. What about your family and interests. Bye for now.

you were right!I'm a boy. As I told you i live in Iran.it's a big developing country and Tehran is the capital of Iran with many facilities.I have a brother and a sister.my sister is studding psychology at university and my brother is a highschool studet. also I have an excellent father and mother.My father have studied electric at university and my mother has diploma.I love them so much that you can't imagine!
system of education in Iran excepet of it's interntional schools doesn't let students to speak English,because the major don't understand.But I love English and I try hard to learn fluent English soon and I beleive that I'll get it less than 6 month later.at the moment i'm going to be ready for 2010 Master of Sinence or MS admission exam and I'm tring hard,That's why if sometimes I reply or write to you late so forgive me but it wont last more than 2 month!(the exam is about 2 month later)

I have sent you an email. Didn't you check it? Anyway, what about your religion? What about the oncoming new year?
I'm a buddhist. My nationality is Sinhalese. Normally Buddhists don't celebrate December 31st or January 1st. They go to temples and do religious observences. I also don't like to celebrate such things. Instead I keep some plans in my mind to complete in the next year.
What about your plans in 2010.

In our country we celebrate every spring; I mean the first day of every spring is the first day of newyear for us! which is on 21\03\2010 this year.Thats why our calendar type is "SHAMSI".we call the season "spring","BAHAAR"in our language and calture and the first moon of "BAHAAR" is "farvardin" so FARVARDIN the 1st is our newyear first day.
I think Anybody has his/her program during a year and specially by comming newyear and me have too!
At the moment the most important aim for this year or in my life is to be ready for the Admission MS exam.So I try to do my Best!After that I should get the fluent English less than 6 month.then...[I can't tell the rest HERE!]so Forgive me ...last Maybe someday in near future meet you in CANADA!
About our language...Although in Iran there are people who speak Kordish,Turkish,Arabic,... but the formal language all over the country is Farsi or Persian and me speak Farsi too!. I am persian.

Thanks for your reply. :\ Anyway when will be your exams? Are you working hard? These days I'm spending my time more freely. But, I'm learning a lot.
Are you studying in English? I think the best way to practise the language is speaking. If is more benefitial if we can speak with a native speaker. But, it's too hard. Isn't it?
What about your hobbies? I like music very much. And also I like to watch cricket matches. Cricket is my favourite sport. I like, reading, gardening and many more things.
Not only that but also, I'd love to help people. Specialy,to poor people. I'm very sensitive. Sometimes, my sensitivity hurts me a lot. When I'm travelling by a bus if a poor child gets into the bus with dirty clothes I fall in to cry. I don't know, why is that? I have helped many poor children in my school too.
