Montreal has been making the top rankings in most of the recent online surveys over the past few weeks. Today we learned that Canada is in the top 10 list of the happiest countries in the world!
In fact, it comes in 7th out of 156 countries, according to this year’s World Happiness Report. The annual report measures countries by their happiness levels annually and the latest report was released at the United Nations.
At the top of the list is Finland followed by Norway, Denmark, Iceland, and Switzerland.
This year, the ranking focused on migration. “Increasingly, with globalization, the people of the world are on the move; and most of these migrants are seeking a happier life. But do they achieve it? That is the central issue considered in this 2018 World Happiness Report.”
The World Happiness Report evaluates their data on a scale running from 0 to 10. The rankings, which are based on surveys in countries covering the three years 2015-2017.
