Margarita Maria Cordoba is a lovely woman from Colombia participating in EC Montreal’s English programme. Sadly, this is her last week at EC. Here is what she wanted to share with everyone about her EC experience: My experience at EC was amazing. I made a lot of new friends from different countries like Mexico, France, Brazil, Argentina, Switzerland, Japan, Korea and many more. I have learned a lot of new words improving my vocabulary. I have remembers some grammatical structures that help me to improve my fluency. When I arrived I couldn’t understand a lot of things just listening but now, four weeks later, I can understand almost everything because I have teachers with different accents, classmates with different ways to talk and when you make the effort to understand, you improve your listening comprehension. I will really recommend this experience to everyone! Here, you can learn, know new people, improve your language, enjoy with the extra activities, travel to different places and have an integral experience. My best experience ever. Thank you very much!!! What are you waiting to come and Learn English Abroad too !!
Last Wednesday, EC Montreal held its annual apple festival! It is apple season in the province of Quebec and we wanted to give our students a taste of our local fruit! This is the time of year when families and friends visit a local apple orchard and spend the day in the country picking apples right off the trees! It is a tradition that is part of our Quebecois culture. We visited a local farm this week and brought back the most popular apple in Quebec – the Macintosh and Lobo. We also purchased freshly baked apple goods like muffins, strudel and pies. We served baskets and baskets of apples as well as fresh apple juice, apple cider, apple and cinnamon tea, apple pies, cookies, cakes, donuts and strudel. We love giving our students a taste of Montreal and opportunities to interact with one another while practicing the language and making friends. Recently a student commented that he looks forward to our special Wednesday activities. Another student wrote in his testimonial that he loves our mini festivals at the school. We are delighted that our students appreciate all the love we show them in all the events that we plan for them. Our free Wednesday activities continue this week with a self-defense class. We hope we will have a lot of participants learning this very essential life skill while having a great time at EC! Come learn English or French in Montreal and indulge yourselves in all the savours and flavours you will find here.
Tomorrow we have another graduation ceremony for some students… which leaves us very sad. To see our students leaving is always sad but we know they will continue practicing and using everything they learned in EC Montreal. We like to listen to our students and know what they liked during their stay. So, we invited them to give us a feedback on the services we offered. Now, let’s see what else they told us this week!! Nathalie Vagao from France I chose a program to Canada to learn a lot of vocabulary, practice my grammar and improve the pronunciation with my speaking. My favorite part of the courses was writing about something a liked from my country. I liked the classes method, the lessons when you can exchange with other students. I liked my accommodation because it wasn’t so far, I liked the proximity and the location of the school. I will recommend EC to a friend. And I will always remember the good vibes I felt here, the smiles of everyone and the sweetness of the people. Matheieu Lafages from France I learned to communicate better with other people in English. I improved my trust in myself, now I am a bit more confident with me. I am less afraid to talk to someone else in English. My favorite part was the speaking activities where you can talk a lot to other people with other cultures, thoughts and you can learn a lot from them. Sorry if I say this, but the activity I liked the most was the Break! (haha!) because during this time I could meet other students from the school, not just my classmates. Thanks to this I made friends from South Korea, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil and Japan. I will recommend EC …

Also, I really likes the welcome tour on Sunday before starting our classes on Monday, it is a great opportunity to know people, make friends and enjoy the city before studies start. I will definitely recommend EC Montreal, but also, I will recommend my friends to study a bit of french before their first day, because when you don’t know anything it can be hard. The social leader was always happy and ready to help us. Thank you! I can only say good things about this place. Learning a new language with different friends, in a new city is an amazing opportunity!!
