Slang Phrase

This weeks American Slang Phrase is a little variation of a slang phrase, in that it is two very similar words that can be easily confused.

Shade vs. Shadow?

shade

These two words sound very similar, but are used differently!

Examples:

“I need to lay in the shade because the sun is so hot!”

“I can see my shadow when I walk on the sidewalk!”
